Meredith's Musings...
Hello again my jovial gorillas of the north persuasion. Another week+1 has come and gone. Most notable thing to have happened during this time was the Canadian National figure skating, which had me glued to the TV. Or at least, I taped it all and when I got home from work I was glued to it. I honestly couldn't have asked for things to turn out better. Jeff, coming back from his injury, wowed me completely. His program was world class and gorgeous. Tres tres. Chris Mabee came second, upsetting Emanuel Sandhu. Oh, that made me so freaking happy. I really don't like Eman and Chris Mabee is so deserving of a podium finish, even though I was sort of pulling for Shawn Sawyer. The ladies even was highlighted with a pretty much flawless skate from Mira Leung, whom I like immensely, and she came in second. Defending champ Joannie Rochette was not surprisingly the leader again. Jessica Dube and Bryce Davison upset defenders Valerie Marcoux and Craig Buntin for the pairs title. Marie- France Dubreil and Patrice Lauzon of course defended and Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir pulled up in second. All in all, a very good weekend of skating.
As of today, I have one of two midterm finals under my belt. It was social studies, and I think it went all right. I definately know of one I got wrong. As for the rest... we'll have to see. After the test, we went to go hang out for the long amount of time until the buses were to come. Sarah got a ride a long time before then, though. Eventually my cousin Robert (he's not actually my cousin, but he's Bob's nephew) offered me a ride home which I could not deny. I did feel kind of bad leaving Carolyn by herself, though. I wonder if she actually got some work done with me not there, haha. I was positive, however, that Roberto wanted to talk about my Xmas holidays and some of the things he had heard discussed... he's a little protective of me, you see. Luckily he kept his lips zipped on those subjects and now I just have to hope he doesn't spil the things he knows at future family get togethers...
I've been playing the Sims 2 like mad lately, haha. The Karademir family are great fun.
Hmmm... what else. Well, I'm reading the sixth Harry Potter book again. For no particular reason, I just kind of felt like it.
And I miss people. Like Katie. And Jono, I can't help it. But for now I'll enjoy the time between now and Easter and prepare for what will be a very awesome (but definately too short) Easter break.
TTFN, dahlings
